In the every day hustle and bustle of real life, you may not have as much time to devote to getting beautified. Fear not fellow beauty buffs, you can still achieve a glamorous and polished look in a pinch.

Here are some tips Paul Conzo’s Day Spa and Hair Salon swears by to make you twinkle like a star over Hollywood Boulevard day in—and night out.

First, take inventory of your makeup bag—you know the one that travels everywhere with you. If you’ve need to get glamified in a pinch, these three items will be your new BFF:
1) a compact of mineral powder—we recommend Bare Escentuals;
2) bold lip stain that can double as a blush (go light on the blush if you’re going all out on the lips); and
3) highlighter—so you can draw out the natural beauty above your eyebrows and along your cheekbones and show off your sparkling attributes.

Consider a chignon updo for medium to long hair.  Make a low side ponytail, grab a section of the hair and wrap it all the way toward your head. Spread it out and, with a bobby pin, tuck it into a roll. Grab another section and start wrapping and fastening the same way. Then repeat until no more sections of hair are left. Once you’ve got all the sections securely fastened, add a few more bobby pins to hold your chignon in place. Think of your chignon as a flower: No two are exactly alike, so it’s OK if it’s a little loose or off center. If your hair is on the short side, invest in some barrettes that blend in with your haircolor (for day) and sparkly barrettes (for night) to compliment a side-swept bang.
